David Evans Shreve

Reidsville: David Evans Shreve, 67, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times the family will be at the home. A private service will be held at a later date. David was born December 21, 1947 in Rockingham County to the late Robert Evans and Jessie Pauline Cook Shreve. He attended Reidsville Senior High School where he was a star football player. He loved guitar and country music. He was member of the Elks Lodge and a champion cribbage player. His pastime included watching old western movies with his dogs, Sadie and Buttercup and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survivors include his daughters: Lori Summer Shreve and Shana Shreve and Kellie Seawright; brother, Danny Shreve and wife, Peggy of Reidsville; a sister, Lavern Borland and husband, Weldon of Spring Lake, NC; and grandchildren, Sierra Shreve, Aidan Moore, Kelsey Blakeley, Ashston Prickett, Jackson Prickett, Spencer Prickett, and Gaines Seawright; and great-granchildren, Paysen and Aniston.
