David Stone Stallings

Reidsville- David S. Stallings, 69, of 295 Iron Works Road, passed away, on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2014, at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Milton Kennon, Jr. officiating. David was born in Alamance County to the late John Daniel Stallings and Lily Mae Ware Stallings. He married Patricia Lynch on November 12, 1971. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard and singing gospel music. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, David Stallings Jr. and six siblings. Survivors include his wife, Patricia L. Stallings; sons, Anthony D. Stallings and Matthew B. Stallings; grandchildren, Deanna, Rebecca and Emily Stallings; brothers, Jesse Stallings and wife Joyce and Henry Stallings; sisters, Mary Norman, Faye Hopkins and Ray, Becky Atkins and husband Wayne and Brenda East and husband Ray and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will see friends from 6-8 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
