Deborah Carter Wood

Reidsville: Deborah Carter Wood, 58, of 176 Washburn Lake Road, passed away on January 14th, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital. A visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Deborah was a native of Rockingham County and lived to serve others. She was a homemaker and loved her family. She was selfless; always putting others first and she tirelessly cared for her mother-in-law and brother-in-law through many years of declining health. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Wray Fulp. Deborah is survived by her husband, Dillard Wood of the home; her son, Michael Poindexter of Reidsville; her daughter, Lisa Poindexter of Eden; her step daughter, Sandra Martin and husband, Randy of Darlington, SC; her grandchildren, Brendan Poindexter, Zackery Joyner, David Thomas, Brianna Poindexter, Hope Poindexter, Austin Poindexter, Ethan Poindexter and London Poindexter; step grandchildren, Neal and Dylan Martin; her father, Monk Carter of Reidsville; her brother, Charles Carter and wife, Wendy of Reidsville; her sisters, Renee Faircloth and husband, Scott of Thomasville, NC and Sandra Thompson and husband, Frank of Wentworth, NC; a large extended family and her special dogs, Little Bit and Lexie.
