Reidsville: Delores “Lois” Mundy Wilson, 60, of Ruffin, entered into her loving father’s arms peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Mayfield Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Dyer officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Burial will follow at Mayfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Lois was born in Rockingham County to the late Junior Elwood Mundy and Thelma Lee Kennon Meade. She worked at Jerry’s Restaurant in Draper for over 40 years, where she was more than just a waitress to everyone that came in. She was an active member of Mayfield Baptist Church for many years. She taught Sunday school along with serving in the youth program. She had two biological children but she was a mother to many. Most of all she loved her God and her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father James Alvin Meade; sister, Brenda Lumpkins. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Roy Allen Wilson; son, Chad Wilson and wife Diane; daughter Ann Marie Giles and husband Nick; brother, Lawrence Mundy and wife Lynn of Prince George, VA; sister, Melissa Smith and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Carter Wilson who was the light of her life, Laila Giles and Garrett Wilson; nieces, Connie Strader and husband Jeff, Sarah Billings and husband Ryan, Kayla Dalton and Husband Noah, Terrie Holman and husband Jamie and Michelle Mundy; nephew, Jeffrey Mundy, as well as a large extended family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Annie Penn Cancer Center, Hospice of Rockingham County and the Barry Joyce Foundation of Madison as well as to Diana Biggs and Jewel Van Abel for their many years of love, care and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her memory to Hospice of Rockingham County and the Barry Joyce Foundation.
