Donald Charles Rathman

Reidsville: Donald “Don” C. Rathman, 85, of 119 Roach Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held 7:30 PM. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Spencer Woods officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. Mr. Rathman was born in Reading, PA and was the son of the late, William and Leona Lane Rathman. He served as a veteran in the US Navy during World War II serving the majority of his career on the USS Prince William. He retired as a wallpaper hanger at the age of 62. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Anna McCormick Rathman and his four siblings. Survivors include his children, Donna Rissinger, Deloris Manderbauch, Linda Rathman, John Secor, Linda Turner, Keith Secor, Candice Durm, Kathleen Secor and Marion Roach of the home; 30 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a large extended family.
