Donna P. Hudson

Donna P. Hudson, was born on September 3, 1953, and passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Throughout her life, Donna was a vibrant individual whose passions and hobbies brought joy not only to herself but also to those around her.

A graveside inurnment will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville, NC.

Donna, a dedicated professional, worked with the school system for 37 years, serving with unwavering commitment and passion. She ended her career as Assistant Finance Officer, a role she took great pride in, knowing her work directly contributed to the success and growth of countless students and staff. Throughout her career, Donna's dedication and service to the schools were a testament to her character and love for the education system. She will be remembered for her hard work, loyalty, and the positive impact she made in the lives of many. 

Donna held a special affection for her beach house, often finding solace and happiness by the ocean. She delighted in preparing meals for loved ones, showcasing her culinary skills and warmth through her cooking. An avid bowler, she spent many joyful hours on the lanes, forging friendships and enjoying the camaraderie that the sport provided. In addition to her love for bowling, Donna was an enthusiastic reader, always eager to dive into a new novel or explore different genres. Her fondness for nature was evident in her love for flowers and birds, which brought her immense joy and inspiration.

Donna enjoyed working out in her garage gym, demonstrating her dedication to health and well-being. Her determination and energy were infectious, encouraging those around her to embrace an active lifestyle.

In her life, Donna was surrounded by a cherished circle of family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, David Hudson; her sisters, Rhonda Harvey and Susan Purcell; her treasured special pet, Stella Bea.; and her special friend, David Wise.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Purcell and Willie Mae Purcell, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life.

As we remember Donna, we celebrate a woman who lived fully and loved deeply. Her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
