Doris Gayle Campbell

Doris “Gayle” Campbell went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2017. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 24th, 2017 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church with Pastors David Hatcher and Douglas Bray officiating. The burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. Gayle was born September 23, 1954 to the late Elwood and Virginia Wall. A long time residence of Rockingham County, Mrs. Campbell was quick witted and fun; her family was her whole world. She loved church, gospel music, farm animals and old tv shows. She loved Hillbilly Hideaway and being with people. She was the best mom and meme. Along with her Parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her son in law Stephen Rose and her niece Robin Reynolds. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Campbell, her beloved daughters; Tracy Phillips and husband Christopher, Tammy Rose, Mary Carulli and husband Satanta; grandchildren; Caleb Martin, Christy Martin, Courtney Campbell, Cheyenne Martin, Lindsay Campbell, Christopher Carulli, Dylan Rose. She is also survived by her sister Brenda Warf and husband Johnny and niece Leighanne Shepherd. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Monday, January 23rd and at other times at the home (7336 Sun Harbor Dr, Browns Summit).
