Doris Jean Bradsher Cunningham

Doris Bradsher Cunningham, 82, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord at the young age of 82 surrounded by her loved ones in the early hours of July 15, 2023, at Gibson House.

A funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. on Thursday, July 20^th, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Russell McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Darrell Cunningham on Wednesday July 19, 2023, between the hours of 12:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

Doris was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and raised two sons there. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Doris was a homemaker and took great joy in caring for her family. She was a simple soul who enjoyed watching “her stories” and WWE Wrestling as well as her trips to the salon to be pampered. She loved those special get-togethers at her son Darrell and Stephanie’s house. She always enjoyed her daughter-in-law’s cooking, especially the raspberry cake. It was always one of her favorites. Before COVID, Doris loved outings with her friend Evelyn Walker and attending church with her family. She was a proud grandmother and loved listening to her granddaughter Victoria sing. She called Victoria her “pride and joy”. In Doris’s final months , she was a resident at High Grove in Reidsville. She had many special people that helped take care of her there including her son Darrell and daughter-in-law Stephanie.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Cunningham; son, Ronald Cunningham; grandson, Frank Cunningham.
