Doris Witty Farmer

Doris Witty Farmer, 80, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Cox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside committal will follow the service at Reidlawn Cemetery. Doris was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie Witty and Lucy Combs Witty. She graduated from Ruffin Highschool and retired from American Tobacco with over 20 years of service. She loved to work in her flowers and garden. She knew hard work and as a young widow continued to provide for her children. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Farmer as well as her brothers, Frank and John Witty. Doris is survived by her sons, Greg Farmer and Gary Farmer; brother, Lee Witty; sister, Helen Pickrel and a loving extended family.
