Ruffin - Doris Dixon Page, 90, of 2088 Oregon Hill Road, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Doris was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Lester Dixon and Dottie Robertson Dixon. She joined Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in 1931 and was a faithful member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. For and long as she was able she made lunch for her family every Sunday. She retired from The American Tobacco Company in 1980 after 35 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Herman Page; siblings, Margaret Dixon Strader, Louise Dixon Durham, Billie Robert Dixon and Sara Dixon Bolden.She is survived by her daughter Faye Dean Watson and husband, Joe Slaughter of Reidsville; grandchildren, Chuck Watson of Greensboro, Teresa Hamlett of Lexington and Kevin Watson of Canton, GA; great grandchildren, Tiffany and Kristin Watson, Taylor and Cody Hamlett and Morgan Watson; sister, Alyne Dixon Martin and husband, Slim of Reidsville; god daughter, Phyllis Briles of Troy, NC.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 11th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the home of Faye Dean Watson, 135 Roberson Lane, Reidsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 361 Mt.
