Dorothy Williamson Black

Reidsville – Dorothy Williamson Black, 92, formerly of 3319 Vance Street Ext., passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Avante at Reidsville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael Tillman officiating. Mrs. Black was born in Sampson County to the late Milton Williamson and Vandella McLamb Johnson and was a homemaker. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Survivors include her husband of 72 years whom she eloped with from Chapel Hill, John A. Black, Jr.; son, John A. Black, III and wife, Dorothy; grandchildren, Janet Dunbar and husband, Tom and Kenneth J. Black and wife, Michelle; great grandchildren, Diana Turner and husband, Jon, Ian Dunbar, Alexander Black, Sophia Black and Trevor Black.
