Burlington – Dorothy Joyce Bullock, 78, of the Twin Lakes Community, died May 6, 2009 at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell surrounded by her daughters.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church with Pastor David Hatcher officiating. The burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens and the pallbearers will be Steve Jr. McKoin, Andy McKoin, James Strader, Cody Foster, Justin Gwynn, Philip Gwynn, Collin and Ramases Bullock.
Mrs. Bullock was born in Mayodan and was the daughter of the late William and Dora Hutcherson Joyce. She was a homemaker and a longtime and faithful member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church. She loved playing bingo at Twin Lakes and was a member of the Red Hat Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Raymond Bullock; her son, William Bullock; 7 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy McKoin and husband, Steve of Greensboro, Sherrill Crews and husband, Jimmy of Mebane, Joyce Gwynn and husband, Terry of Gibsonville and Gloria Ann Foster and husband, Tony of Ruffin; granddaughter, (like a daughter) Chastity Sassone and husband, Julio and 10 other grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will see friends Friday, May 8, 2009 from 7-9 pm, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
