Dorothy Blackwell Callahan, 89, of Ruffin, North Carolina, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Roxboro, North Carolina.
Ms. Callahan had formerly been married to Edwin Callahan of Danville, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Blackwell Moran of Ruffin, North Carolina and Raymond Blackwell of Midlothian, Virginia.
Survivors include her sister, Barbara Blackwell Schaeffer and husband, Dick, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two daughters, Dottie Callahan Bruce and husband Taylor, of Greer, South Carolina; Bonnie Callahan Adams and husband, Jack, of Roxboro, North Carolina; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at two o'clock at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church, 8684 NC Highway 700, Ruffin, North Carolina.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church..
