Reidsville – Dorothy W. “Dot” Paschal, 92, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014, at Avante Nursing Home in Reidsville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dorothy was born on December 11, 1921, in Rockingham County to the late Jesse Lee Windsor, Sr. and Myrtle Pearl Somers Windsor. She was raised at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener. She loved canning and freezing food. She was “Mom” to everyone in the community and fed everyone in the neighborhood as well. She was a long time fan of Conway Twitty. She was married to the late Freeman Stover Paschal for 65 years. Along with her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Edward Windsor, Bobby Wayne Windsor and Jesse Lee Windsor, Jr.
Survivors include her nephew, William L. Windsor of Chesterfield, VA; Her niece, Sheryl Comer of Georgetown, TX; her great nieces, Shannon Windsor of Reidsville and Ashley M. Deering of Lansing, MI; great-great nephew, Noah Windsor and many other extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
