Dorothy Jean Poe Kirkman

Reidsville: Dorothy Jean Poe Kirkman, 87, of 179 Speedway Drive, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Kirkman was born in Lee County. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Kirkman is survived by her husband, Robert London Kirkman; daughters, Diane Douglas and husband, Randy of North Carolina, Toni Harrelson of South Carolina and Sandy Grogan and husband, James of Virginia; grandchildren, Paula Kennedy, Robbie Stewart, Constance Tressler and Steve McCain; great grandchildren, Patrick, Bradley and Bailey Kennedy, Alyssa, Taylor and Mason McCain, Brandon Belcher and Brianna Tressler; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
