Dorothy Gammon Martin

Reidsville, Dorothy Gray Gammon Martin 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A burial will follow the service at Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was born in Rockingham County to the late Isaac O. Gammon and Dorothy Wall Gammon. She was a faithful member of New Heights Baptist Church for over 50 years. She served the people of Pine Forest Nursing Home selflessly for over 12 years. But most of all she loved her family and her God. Along with her parents Isaac and Dorothy Gammon, she was preceded in death by her Husband Lee Junior Martin and Brother Hunter Gammon. Survivors include: Son, Mayo Keith Brightwell and wife Rita; Daughters, Mary Wesley Brightwell and Earlene Dare Brown; Sister, Vergie Lee Cooke; Grandchildren, Christopher Devin Cooper and Catherine Holt Cooper; Step Grandchildren, David Streeter, Rodney Worley and Carmen Tucker; along with 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
