Dorothy Pruitt McDaniel

Reidsville - Dorothy Pruitt McDaniel, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital surround by her loved ones.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Pruitt and Rev. Randy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. McDaniel was born on April 27, 1926 to the late Willie and Nora Crowder Pruitt. She was of the Baptist faith. Dorothy was a loving mother that loved her family deeply. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Noel P. McDaniel; sister, Lee Ward; grandsons, Doug Chilton and Jackson Evans.Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Ann Evans and husband, Henry of Reidsville, Cindy Chilton and husband, Ben of Reidsville, Allison Heath of High Point, and Patricia Wilson of Reidsville; son, Aaron McDaniel and wife Patty of Reidsville; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; four brothers; one sister and a large extended family.The Family will receive friends Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other time at the home of daughter, Cindy Chilton, 164 Carolina Drive, Reidsville, NC.
