Dorothy Stanley Perkins

Reidsville, NC: Dorothy Stanley Perkins, 91, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 15, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Deborah Perkins, Rev. E. Allen Anders and Rev. Harvey Anders officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn cemetery. Dorothy was born on September 10, 1924, in Caswell County, to the late Joe A. and Edna Mae Apple Stanley. She retired from Brookside Industries. She was very faithful to her church. Dorothy loved to work crossword puzzles and loved music. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Perkins, and her brothers, Joseph and J.D. Stanley. Survivors include her children, Larry Perkins and wife Kaye, Daniel Perkins and wife Deborah and Linda Rickman; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a brother, James Stanley; a sister Shelby Setliff and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at the home.
