Dorothy Watson Walker

Reidsville: Dorothy Watson Walker, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Cranford officiating. The interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends on Tuesday from 12-2 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her home of Patsy Pruitt, 711 S. Main St., Apt #1. Dorothy was born on January 16, 1934, in the Stokesdale Area to the late Bine Watson and Ila Phillips Watson. She loved gardening, cooking and canning. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Preston Knowles; her second husband, Ronald Lee Walker; a son, Brian Keith Walker; her brothers, Coy, J.D., Bynum and Johnson Watson; and her sisters, Idell Hilton, Alice Friddle and Hazel Hooker. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Pruitt, Carolyn Wray and husband James and Joyce Satterfield and husband Dave; her son, David Walker; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
