Eddy Lee Smithey

Reidsville-Mr. Eddy Lee Smithey, 61, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 10th, 2013. Mr. Smithey was born on August 26th, 1952, in Rockingham County to the late Duie Lee Smithey and Gracie Huskey Smithey. He retired from the City of Reidsville after 30 years of service and attended Tabernacle Baptist Church. He loved tractors, Harleys and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Margie & Tammy Smithey. Mr. Smithey is survived by his wife, Sandra Smithey; his loving poodle, “Booboo”; three daughters, Pansy Gail Graves, Patty Smithey and Chastity, & Tabitha Smithey Priddy and husband J.R.; step children, Lisa Moore and husband, Sean, Steven Orrell and wife, Elaine; grandson, Leland Priddy; three granddaughters, Nikki, Arianna & Jazmyn; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Orrell, Brandon & Wesley Wilson; nephew, Cody Smithey; niece, Tammy LeAnn Smithey; brother, Teddy Smithey and wife Alice; sister, Jean Smithey Bibee and husband Harvey. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Milton Kennon, Jr and Rev. Wayne Smithey officiating. Interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home, 806 Dockery Rd. Ext.
