Edna Chatham O'dell

Reidsville: Edna Chatham O’dell, affectionately called “Nanny”, 80, went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Marvin Bowman officiating. The burial will follow at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home (904 Magnolia Ave). Mrs. O’dell was born in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ruby Chatham. She was a commited woman of faith, loved cooking for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Along with her parents, Mrs. O’dell was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Clayton O’Dell; her son, Timothy Scott O’dell, Sr.; her grandchildren, Bobby Clayton White and Gary Dean Brame; her sister, Dawn Hendley and husband, Clarence; her brother, Daniel Lee Chatham, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Mary Chatham and Sarah Chatham. Survivors include her daughter, Debbra Brame and husband, Gary Brame, Sr.; her grandchildren, Angela Broadnax and husband, George, John White, Sandy Lynn and husband, Jay, Beth Padron and husband, Lalo and Scott O’dell; 8 great grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; nieces, Mona Southard, Marsha Petty and husband, Ken and Carol Wray Burgess and husband, Charles; special nephew, Mike Hendley and wife, Gloria and special friend, Doris Ore.
