Edna Busick Martin

-- View a Video -- Edna Martin Reidsville –Mrs. Edna Busick Martin, 81, of Reidsville passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Mrs. Martin was born October 13, 1931 in Guilford County to the late Banks and Ada Lee Payne Busick. She was a charter member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin worked as a nursing assistant at Annie Penn Hospital, sold encyclopedias for World Book and worked with Chase Bag Company. Mrs. Martin was a caring mother and grandmother. She cared for her mother and she never met a stranger. Survivors include her husband, Roy Martin of the home; two sons, Steve Manley and wife, Deborah; Gary Manley, all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Amber Matthews and husband, Josh; Josh Manley and wife Tiffany, Holly Manley; great-grandchildren, Walker Matthews and Carter Manley; one brother, B. A. Busick, Jr. and wife, Betty of Reidsville; one sister, Louise Minter of Asheville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11 AM in Eastside Baptist Church. Rev. Gene Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from six until eight o’clock in Eastside Baptist Church and other times at the home of her son, Steve Manley.
