Edna Starnes Paschal, 84, passed away, peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Bray officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Edna was born on October 16, 1937, to the late Charlie and Virginia Bright Starnes. She was the baby of nine children who was loved and spoiled by all of her siblings. Edna was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, canning, gardening, dancing, cooking for family and friends, family vacations at the beach where she enjoyed fishing. Edna loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a hard-working woman, faithful caregiver to her brother, “Pete”, wonderful mother, granny to all, sister, mawmaw, aunt and friend. Edna touched many lives, and all who knew her will hold a special place for her in their hearts forever. The family feels there is no way to express the unconditional love she has for us, and we are so blessed to have been a part of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas “Bill” Paschal; “her baby” son, Todd Douglas Paschal; grandchildren, Matthew Ethan James Paschal and Heather Nicole Bright Pruitt; siblings, Ruby Goodwin, Mary Frick, Thelma Smith, Virginia Billingsley, Sarah Hopkins, James Charlie “Bud” Starnes, Jr., James Starnes, Arthur Monroe “Pete” Starnes; special nephew, Jimmy Isley, who helped and adored her; and her beloved fur-baby, “Suga”.
She is survived by her children Rhonda Pruitt and husband, Jimmy, Teresa Lovelace and husband Randy, William Mitchell “Mitch” Paschal, Cecelia Regalado and husband, Ruben; grandchildren, Sherry Lockamy and Darrell, Randy Lovelace, Jr. and Jennifer, BillyJo Paschal and Tony, Joshua Kennon Sr. and Dana, Timothy Paschal and Ruth, Rocky Pruitt and April, Dustin Paschal, Angel Duggins and Abbi, Nathan Paschal and Cheyenne, Derek Paschal and Lindsey, Jared Paschal, Lacey Collins and Corey; twenty-five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Roger Paschal and Maddie; sister-in-law’s, Peggy Paschal, Pattie Mcdaniel and Aaron; in addition to many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
