Edna Strader Perdew

Reidsville - Edna Strader Perdew, 94, formerly of 2429 Westover Drive, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Carolina House of Reidsville. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mizpah United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Martin officiating.Mrs. Perdew was a native of Rockingham County and was born to the late Earl Draughn Strader and Minnie Allen Strader. She was the oldest member of Mizpah United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Heaven is a sweeter place with her there. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virge Perdew, son, Philip Perdew and brother, Elwood Strader.Mrs. Perdew is survived by her son, Barry Perdew and wife, Vicki, of Greensboro; daughter, Judy P. Dickerson and husband, Wayne, of Ruffin; grandchildren, Eric Perdew, Brad Perdew, Amy Teoh, Jeremy Dickerson and Dana Dickerson and great grandchildren; Reid Teoh, Wesley Teoh and Adrienne Perdew, brother, Dr. Ray Strader of Lexington, NC; sisters, Inez Handy and Virginia Williams, both of Reidsville and Shirley Sauter of Falkville, Alabama; daughter-in-law Sara Perdew and sister-in-law, Thresa Strader, both of Reidsville.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.
