Edward Odell Collins

Reidsville – Edward Odell Collins, Jr. passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. Burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. Edward was born on April 20, 1968 in Rockingham County to Edward and Malinda Collins. He loved taking things apart and put them back together. If there was a problem electrical, he could figure it out. He was an avid reader and was willing to help anyone in need. He exhibited a zest for life that no one else had. He was preceded in death by his special cousin, Robert “Tink” Stephens. In addition to his parents, Edward is survived by two daughters: Ashley Collins Hudson and husband, David; and Magen Danielle Collins and fiancée Dennis W. Denning; step granddaughter, Kandence Hudson; one brother, Kenneth Collins and wife, Tina and one sister, Gayle Collins; and four nieces, Malanie, Destiny, Brianna, and Karsynn and one nephew, Chaden, all of Reidsville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from six till eight PM and other times at the home.
