Edward McCleneth

Pelham: Edward M. “Bo” Hobbs, Jr., 54, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family and close friends.Bo was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bo also was a licensed Merchant Marine officer. A lover of maps, he visited almost every state in the USA. Bo’s other interest was a lifetime passion for his music and a great love of nature and the outdoors.He is survived by his father, Edward M. Hobbs, Sr., his mother, Dorothy Papenfus, sisters, Althea Greenwald and Patsy Scott, his sons, Edward M. Hobbs, III, Laith and Cody Hobbs, 3 grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews. He leaves his family and many of his closest friends behind with sad hearts but joyful memories and the blessing of having known him in his time on earth. His beloved dog, Dixie, will miss her constant companion. May he rest in peace.In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to American Cancer Society, 4A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
