-- View a Video -- Strader,Elaine video Reidsville – Mrs. Elaine Bolden Strader, 87, of Reidsville passed away on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Strader was born on August 11th, 1926 in Rockingham County to the late James Everette Bolden and Margie Jarrett Bolden. She was a devout Christian and dedicated member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wentworth. She retired from American Tobacco Company. Mrs. Strader enjoyed dancing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Strader and her son, Ricky Allen Strader. Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Strader French and husband, Randy of Reidsville; grandchildren: Jason Strader; Neil Strader and wife, Miah; Ben Strader and wife, Christine; Jamie Hodnett and wife, Melissa; Chad French and wife, Jordan; Jenna French; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers: Richard Bolden; Jimmy Bolden and wife, Barbara; three sisters: Maude Priddy; Lucille Cox; Jackie Neal and husband, Gordon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at 2 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Larsen will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from six until eight at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at her home.
