Eleanor Elizabeth "Ellie" Nelson

Baby Eleanor Elizabeth "Ellie" Nelson, was born on Thursday, July 20, 2017 and received her angel wings on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Greensboro, NC. Ellie is in the arms of Jesus now waiting until her parents and family can join her. Even though so small, she fought strong to stay with her earthly family after her birth. Ellie was deeply loved and cared for by them as well as the staff at Brenner's Children's Hospital. Survivors include her parents, Scott and Lindsay Nelson; brothers: Luke Aaron and Rylan Joseph Nelson; grandparents: David and Sandra Hicks of McLeansville, Curtis and Linda Nelson and Darlene Gengler, all of Greensboro; and a large extended family. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening August 1, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home, other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Brenners NICU) at 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem , NC 27157.
