REIDSVILLE: Elizabeth Foulks Isley, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2011 surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery.Mrs. Isley was born on June 11, 1935 in Rockingham County to the late William and Madie McGehee Foulks. She was a loving mother and grandmother that provided a loving home for all of her family. Elizabeth enjoyed living life to the fullest, including gardening, working in her flowers and traveling to White Lake and softball games with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted and faithful member of Fairview Baptist church where she was very involved. Elizabeth was a kind and loving person who enjoyed being a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Monroeton Fire Department. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny F. Isley and infant sister. She is survived by her loving family; children, Robert Isley and wife, Sherry, Jerry Isley and wife, Pam, Dean Isley, Joan Isley all of Reidsville, and Richard Isley and wife, Helen of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Christy Harrelson and husband Michael, Johnny Isley and wife, Brooke, William and Thomas Isley; sisters, Jean Puckett and husband, Steve, Frances Taylor and husband, Robert and Linda Hazelwood and husband, Danny and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the home of son, Dean, 358 Narrow Gauge Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.Memorials may be made in Mrs. Isley’s memory to the Hospice Home of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375. The family wishes to express a special appreciation to the staff of the Hospice Home for the love and care they showed toward Mrs. Isley and her family during her illness.
