Elizabeth Rook Massey

Elizabeth Rook Massey, 90, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Penn Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dallas Decker officiating. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 10:45. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Massey was born in Alamance County to the late Julius Agustus Rook and Nannie Davis Rook. She was a retiree of Burlington Industries and Food Lion Deli. She was also a member of Gospel Tabernacle. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Massey, Sr.; daughter, Jackie Lou Anderson and four siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Clifton and husband, Robert, Shirley Woodall and husband, Larry, Pam Terry, Bonnie Neal, Brenda King and husband, Mike, and son William “Billy” Douglas Massey, Jr.; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Penn Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Massey during her stay there.
