Elizabeth Mitchell Williams

Reidsville: Elizabeth Mitchell Williams, 95, of 407 Gilmer Street Ext., passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Penn Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cleveland Duke officiating. The interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Elizabeth was born in Rockingham County to the late Daniel Edward “Ed” Mitchell and Ada Smith Mitchell and was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company after 42 years of service. She was a charter member of Faith Christian Church where she was a Sunday School Superintendent and Treasurer. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Her family calls her the greatest MIMI ever. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.O. “Buck” Williams; sisters, Helen Roach, Ada Lee Somers and Tymesia Forbes and son-in-law, Sammy Jones. Survivors include her son, Mickey Williams, and friend, Frances; daughter, Katrina Jones; grandchildren, Thann Williams, Mitch Williams and wife, Dee, Lee Williams and Dawne Law and husband, Gary; great grandchildren, Natallie Williams, Ali Garnett and husband, Blake, Lindsay Williams, Evan Law and Chelsea Carlan and husband, Chris; sister, Louise Parker. The family will see friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her home.
