Elnora Gammon Harris

Reidsville: Elnora Gammon Harris, 90, of 142 Wake Forest Dr., passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Sandra and Sonny, 3261 Country Lane. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Elnora was born in Rockingham County to the late Silas Lester and Mary Hopper Gammon and was a retiree of Dan River Mills with 30 years service. She was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church of Eden. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Elome Harris; daughter, Linda Harris Clark; four sisters and six brothers. Survivors include her son, Dr. Frank Harris of Burlington; daughters, Sandra Brown and husband, Sonny and Debby Brown and husband, Harden of Reidsville; grandchildren, Angela Cox and husband, Lee, Dr. Martin Harris and wife, Heather, Joe Harris, Cynthia Sell and husband, Tim, Christopher Brown and wife, Ashley, Jason Powell and Kelly Powell; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and sister, Ruth Howell of Reidsville.
