Elsie Jeffreys Kelly

Reidsville - Elsie Jeffreys Kelly, 81, of 1114 Rocky Ford Road, went to be with her Lord on March 28, 2009 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Baptist Temple Church, with Rev. George Fox officiating. The interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Kelly was born in Nash County to the late Charlie Jackson and Delhia Crawley Jeffreys. She was retired from Burlington Industries. She was a longtime and faithful member of Baptist Temple Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for the nursery for over 60 years. Mrs. Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family and the Lord. Along with her parents, Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, O.V. Kelly; her brothers, Robert, Marion and Charles Jeffreys; and her sisters, Barbara Hopper and Betty Jean Jeffreys. She is survived by her children, James T. Kelly and wife, Mickie, Gloria Kelly Gillie and husband, Allen, Stephen W. Kelly and wife, Sandy and J. Darlene Kelly and David Taylor all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Melanie Chapin and husband, Brian, James T. Kelly, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Bryan Gillie and Stephanie Marie Kelly; great grandchildren, James T. "Trey" Kelly, III, Thomas M. "Tommy" Kelly and Matthew Allen Chapin and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from to 7 to 9 PM and other times at the residence.
