Elsie Hash Thacker

Elsie Thacker, 79, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Elsie was born in Rockingham County to the late Hughes and Roberta Apple Hash. She was an employee of Sears and a member of the Rock Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia McAlister, Roxie Mize, Cornelia Hash and Betty Raymond; brother, Billy Hash. Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Thacker; sons, Eddie Thacker and wife, Sandy, Mark Thacker and Teri, David Thacker and wife, Kim, and Steven Thacker and wife, Patti; grandchildren, Zachary Thacker, Christopher Thacker, Austin Thacker and wife, Brooke, Cameron Thacker and Brandon Thacker; great grandchild, Pyper Thacker; brother, Sonny Hash and wife, Margaret; sisters, Carolyn Howell and Helen Bratton and husband, Bobby; sister-in-law, Cordia Branch; brothers-in-law, Johnny Thacker and wife, Linda and Paul Thacker and many nieces, nephews and special friends. The family will see friends on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
