Elva Gammon Marlow

Texas– Elva Gammon Marlow, 66, of 11215 Loyola Drive, Cypress Texas, formerly of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Reidsville. Mrs. Marlow was born in Rockingham County to the late Irvin Jennings and Geneva Perkins Gammon. She loved to preach the good news of Jehovah’s Kingdom along with knit and being outside with nature. Elva was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness of Cypress, TX and enjoyed teaching people about Jehovah. Along with providing a loving home she was a loving mother and grandmother that held a special place in her heart for great-grandchild, Riley. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Allen Marlow; brothers, Robert “Bob” Gammon and Elisha Austin Gammon. Survivors include her children, Anderson Ray Moore and Rhonda Renee Penley and husband Jerry Wade Penley, both of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Anthony and wife Kendra Dunn, Shylan Travis McKay and Anson Moore; great-grandchild, Riley Nichole Dunn; brother, Clint Gammon and wife Marlene:sister,Rosemary Gammon East both of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews; and many special spiritual bothers in sisters at Cypress Congregational of Jehovah’s Witness of Texas. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm on Monday, 21, 2011, at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
