Elwood Wayne Brown

Elwood Wayne Brown, 72, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Reidlawn Cemetery in Reidsville with Andrew Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00PM and other times at the home.

Wayne was born in Rockingham County to Elwood and Katherine Brown. He retired after being employed with Food Lion for over 20 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Dee Brown and his baby sister, Deborah Brown.

Wayne is survived by wife, Cathy Lynn Brown of the home; mother, Katherine Moore Brown of Eden; daughter, Patricia Thacker (Steven) of Reidsville; daughter, Debra Baumann (Phillip) of Eden; son, Kenneth Brown (Amber) of the home; grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Paige, Ashlyn, Brandon, Grayson, and Samuell; step-grandchildren, Phillip Jr., Zachary, Colin; great-grandchildren, Pyper and Cameron Jr.
