Summerfield- Elwood Dee "Huckabuck" Brown 85, of 478 Witty Road, died on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Golden Living Center of Greensboro. Funeral services will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Jim Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.A native of Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Obie Madison and Annie Lester Brown. He was the owner of Dee Brown General Repair Work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kay Brown, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 62 years, Minnie Katherine Moore Brown of the residence, and son, Elwood (Wayne) Brown and wife Cathy of Bethany, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at 302 Wheeler Road
