Emma Lee Thomas Dye, 91 of Stoneville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday March 5, 2023 at Providence Baptist in Stoneville with Pastor Tommy Albertson officiating.
The family will see friends on Saturday afternoon from 4-6 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Born in Rockingham County to the late Monroe and Maude Roberts Thomas, Emma Lee was a retiree of Unify plant #15. She was also a member of Providence Baptist Church and in her words “I’ve known JESUS all my life.” She would often ask others “are you saved?” “Do you know JESUS as your SAVIOR?” “Am I going to see you in HEAVEN? What a wonderful testimony she was to everyone. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Campbell; father in law and mother in law Henry and Opal Stone Dye .
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband James “Jimmy” Watson Dye; children Ricky Fagge (Phyllis), Marcia Davis (Johnny) and Yvonne Edmunds (Mike); grandchildren Amanda Harris (Bud), Whitney Dickens(Zach), Courtney Michaels(John), Amanda Chaney(Jamie), Ashley Whitten (James Sims), Ashley Stanley(Billy) Zach Davis, Candace Dodson(Patrick); great grandchildren Holden, Hayden and Hudson Stanley, Liam, Zane, Kale and Regan Dickens, Emma Grace and Harper Michaels, Danni Mae and Sawyer Sims, Justice and Jameson Teeters, Lola and Laney Harris, Nash and Laci Dodson; brothers Irving Thomas (Judy) and Bill Thomas (Wanda); sisters Kay Overby and Nancy Dooley; several nieces and nephews.
