Erma Sutton Paschal

Reidsville – Erma Sutton Paschal, 102, of Grooms Road, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM On Saturday September 8, 2012 in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Garfield Doss and Chaplin Tripp Kimbrough will officiate. Mrs. Paschal was born in Rockingham County to the late Andrew and Eliza Webb Sutton. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended Lawsonville Road Baptist Church from 1978 until her health began to fail. She was the longest living of twelve children. Survivors include her daughter, Betty and husband Landon “Bob” Mays; grandchildren: Gene Mays, Phyllis Norman and husband, Bill; Mike Mays and wife Dalphene; Janet Warren Hanline and husband, Donnie; Kelly Warren Soyars and husband, Andy; great-grandchildren: Justin Owens and wife, Susan, Travis Grogan and fiance, Heather Carter, Milicent and fiance David Hooper, Michaela and Ethan Mays; great-great grandchildren: Adam Owens and Aaron Owens; special caregivers: Mattie James, Tonya Carter and Audrey Borland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene Sidney Paschal and daughter, Rachel P. Southard.
