Ernest Penn Wilson

Reidsville: Ernest Penn Wilson, 75, of 2082 Ashley Loop Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 15, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Helen Tuggle officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Penn was born in Rockingham County to the late Willie and Gracie Manuel Wilson. He retired from the Equity Group and was a member of Light House Christian Church. He was passionate about hunting and feeding the wild birds. In 2009 he and his son formed a mustang club and enjoyed showing his 1993 Mustang. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timmy Wilson; grandson, David Hamlett, Jr.; sister, Ruby Earles. He is survived by his wife, Reba Wilson; children, Cathy Hamlett and husband, David, Ida Wangler, Angel Sands and Brad Wilson and wife, Ivy; grandchildren, Heather Kennon, Michael Hamlett and wife, Amanda Rule and husband, Zach Yarbrough, Makenzie Wilson, Jonathan Caillier and wife and Brian Caillier, Ava and Livy Wilson; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way; sisters, Maybelle Prewette, Virgie Ross and Eunice Spataro; loving cat "Sam"; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
