Ethel Stump Dickerson

Ruffin– Ethel Stump Dickerson, 90, of 120 Crownover Road, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Bruce McBride officiating. Interment will follow in Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Dickerson was born in Callaway, Virginia to the late John and Maggie Stump Stump. She was a retiree of Chase Line and a member of Happy Home Congregational Christian Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Eddie Dickerson; sons, Thomas Dillard Dickerson and John Eddie DickersonSurvivors include her daughters, Cletis Crews, Alma Minter, Doris Strader, Vera Strader and husband, Jackie and Patricia Hundley; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brothers, Moyer and William Stump..The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church and other times at the home.
