Etta Miller Ore

Reidsville – Etta Miller Ore, 91, of Avante at Reidsville, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Bowman officiating. The interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Ore was born in Rockingham County to the late Thomas and Ludia Isley Miller. She was a retiree of Sales Knitting and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas Ore, Sr.; daughter, Ruth Ann Cox; son, Paul Thomas Ore, Jr.; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Pauline Ore Toler and husband, Curtis; son, David Ore and wife, Renee; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and one great great grandson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her granddaughter, Tammy, 846 Lawsonville Ave. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Avante at Reidsville and the staff of Annie Penn Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Ore.
