Eugene Fuller Way, Jr of Reidsville died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro following a brief illness.
He was born July 15, 1930, to the late Margaret Wilson Way and Eugene Fuller Way of Reidsville. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his grandparents Janie T. and Peter E. Wilson and Emma F. and Amory W. Way of Reidsville.
Fuller served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was employed in various positions by Cone Mills for 50 years, being the third generation of Ways to have achieved this, an accomplishment of which he was very proud.
Surviving are his son, Warren Eugene Way, of the home, two sisters, Jane Way Martin of Reidsville, Ann W. Miller of Pinehurst and an extended family.
Possessing a great sense of humor, when asked how he was doing, Fuller would always reply, "I’m cheatin’ the undertaker!" Therefore, he was buried in a private ceremony, but a celebration of his life is to be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of his beloved dog, "Patience," to Happy Hills Animal Foundation, 3143 Happy Hills Drive, Staley, N.C. 27355.
