Eugenia McKee Price

Reidsville – Eugenia “Jean” McKee Price, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at her home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. A private interment will follow on Monday in Hampton National Cemetery in Hampton, Virginia.Mrs. Price was born in Bladen County to the late Dannie and Attrice Harvell McKee. She was a retiree of Bell South and a member of the Bell South Telephone Pioneers. As a member of Covington Wesleyan Church, she previously served on the Board of Trustees and was a member of the JOY group. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 79 and the Golden Star Wives. Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Leonard.Survivors include her nieces, Betty Smith of Reidsville, Patricia McKee Greene and Shirley McKee McDuffie both of Hamlet, Gail McKee Davis of Bladenboro; nephews John Russell Smith of Palm Desert, California, Michael McKee of Cummings, Georgia and Rennie McKee of New Port News, Virginia; several great nieces and nephews.
