She has graciously given her birthday to Wynonna Diane Land who just joined our family on October 27, 2022.
Born and raised in LaFollette, TN she went to Washington, DC after business college where she started a career with the Federal Government and met and married Jim. After relocating to Reidsville, NC (via Greensboro and Raleigh) she raised her family with love and compassion. Evelyn took great joy in traveling, spending time with family and friends, rooting for the Duke basketball team and most especially dancing with Jim to Bluegrass and Country music. She was Always dressed impeccably with a matching hat.
She will be terribly missed by all of her family and friends, but we know she is celebrating with Jesus until we rejoin her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Covington Wesleyan Memorial Church, 3218 Vance St. Ext, Reidsville, NC 27320 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
