Browns Summit: Evelyn B. Faucette, 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Monticello United Church of Christ with Rev. Gary Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time on Saturday at the church. Mrs. Faucette was born on April 19, 1928, in McLeansville, NC to the late Marlin Grady Bishop, Sr. and Flora Emma Thompson Bishop. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by Gene, her husband of 61 years and her siblings, Grady, Beth, Edith and Tom. Evelyn was a faithful member of Monticello United Church of Christ and actively participated in the ministries of her church. Her community was extremely important to her, but her desire to help others in need extended far beyond Monticello. Her primary pastime was genealogy, exploring the history of both her family and her church. She is survived by her son, Danny Faucette and wife Wendy; her daughter, Sue Hudson and husband Bob; her grandchildren, Katie Reimer and husband Tim, Brian Faucette and fiancee Catherine Kron, Woody Hudson and Emily Hudson and her great grandchildren, Owen Reimer, Eli Reimer, Hadley Reimer and Mekelle Braswell. The family would like to thank her home caregivers, Becky, Julia, Katie, Kayla, Meagan and Savannah. We are also grateful for all the services provided by Hospice of Greensboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or Monticello UCC, 5001 Highway 150 East, Browns Summit, NC 27214.
