Evelyn Howell Lynn

Reidsville – Evelyn Howell Lynn, 98, formerly of 1212 Barnes St., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Avante Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 14, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. The burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. Mrs. Lynn was a native of Henry County, VA and the daughter of the late Isaac and Mary Varner Howell. She was retired from the American Tobacco Company after 46 years of service. She enjoyed attending Covington Wesleyan Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She always made her house a home. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Turner Lynn; her grandson, Jason McMillan; sisters, Ruby Shelton, Marie Powell and Lucille Privette; brother, Thomas Howell; step sisters, Eva Strader, Josephine Wray and Hazel Powell; and step brother, Claude Donovant. She is survived by her daughter, Linda McMillan and husband, Mike; granddaughter, Jennifer McMillan; great grandchildren, Dylan Lawrence, Kailey Lawrence and Ricco Hairston; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, December 13 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Jennifer’s home (812 Russell Ave.).
