Everett R Durham

Reidsville- Everett R. (Buddy) Durham, 77 passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Buddy was born on May 14, 1936 in Greensboro, NC, the son of the late Henry and Daisy Durham. Buddy attended Rankin School and then joined the US Army where he served his country in Korea. Following his military service, he went to work at Cone Mills Corporation and retired after 49 years. Buddy was a faithful member of Baptist Temple in Reidsville, NC and served the Lord as a Deacon of both Baptist Temple and 16th Street Baptist Church in Greensboro. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Greer Durham; his daughters, Christine Williams (Steve) and Cindy Ageon (Mike); his 7 grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael & Megan Moore, Michelle & Ashley Drabik, Kayla & Rebekah Williams; and great granddaughter, Carolyn. He also leaves 1 sister, Jerry Donlin of Indian Head Park, Illinois. Funeral services will be held 11:30AM Monday, November 18, 2013 at Baptist Temple Church with Rev. John Groff officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00PM Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Baptist Temple Church, 729 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, NC 27320.
