Faye Crickenberger Starrett

Faye Crickenberger Starrett, 75, of 512 Sands Circle, went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 129 Old Laurel Hill Road, Verona, VA 24482 Rev. Gene Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at East Side Baptist Church. Faye was a native of the Laurel Hill community in Verona, VA and was the daughter of the late, George and Ruth Alley Crickenberger. She was retired from Smith’s Transfer Trucking Company after 23 years of service and later retired from Reidsville Grocery with 9 years of service. Faye was a faithful member of East Side Baptist Church where she was WMU director and assistant Sunday school teacher. She was passionate about missions; she enjoyed crocheting and loved helping people. Faye is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dan Starrett of the home; her step son, Steven Glasgow Starrett and wife, Julia of Ford, VA and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to East Side Baptist Church, Veterans Food Drive, PO Box 362, Reidsville, NC 27323.
