Fletcher "F.D." Davis Wasburn

Reidsville – Fletcher “FD” Davis Washburn, II, 91, formerly of Carolina House went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Heath Lloyd and Mike Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are Wayne Bray, Trey Pryor, Nathan Washburn, Daryll Washburn, Joe Crouch and Justin Tilley Honorary pallbearers, Robbie Pryor and Thomas Bray. Fletcher was born in Rockingham County to the late, Fletcher D. and Virginia Dare Washburn. He was owner and operator of Washburn Motel and Washburn Service Station. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Fletcher Davis Washburn, III and grandson, Lucas Ryan Washburn.He is survived by his sons, William Donald “Donnie” Washburn and wife, Janet, James Carlton Washburn and wife, Patricia and Stanley Washburn; daughter-in-law, Shelby Washburn; grandchildren, Crystal Washburn Farmer, Carla Washburn Bray, Donna Washburn Pryor, Nathan Washburn and Daryll Washburn; great grandchildren, Haley Farmer, Hayden Farmer, Maryann Bray, Thomas Bray, Robbie Pryor, Jennifer Cook and Nicole Washburn; great great grandchild, Kenan Cook.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral home 6:00 – 8:00PM Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
